MAM-A's Silver Plus Gold Alloy (SilverPlusGoldAlloy - SPGA) discs feature two reflective layers. One of pure silver, plus a second gold alloy reflective layer. The pure silver layer provides high reflectivity and great drive compatibility, and the gold alloy layer provides protection against environmental corrosion. This combination extends longevity of the DVD, compared to standard silver discs that may oxidize.
