Tyvek® Is Amazingly Light

Tyvek® Envelopes are considerably lighter than paper envelopes and boxes, yet they're much stronger. By making your shipments lighter, Tyvek® can significantly reduce your shipping and mailing costs.

Tyvek® Is Water-Resistant

Tyvek® is incredibly water- and moisture-resistant, making it just as protective in a hurricane as it is from a coffee spill at the office. Liquids simply run off its smooth surface, keeping the contents perfectly dry. In fact, because Tyvek® Envelopes are unaffected by moisture, common acids or bases, they're ideal for long-term storage and archival purposes, too.

Tyvek® Is Rip-Resistant

We don't recommend trying to destroy a Tyvek® Envelope. Because Tyvek® Envelopes are puncture- and rip-resistant, which allows them to stand up to the sort of rough handling that envelopes can be subjected to during mailing, shipping and delivery. That's nice to know when you've got something important inside.

Tyvek® Is 100% Recyclable

Tyvek® Envelopes are made of an environmentally responsible material. DuPont also manages a nationwide recycling program that collects used Tyvek® Envelopes which are then recycled into other useful materials that provide sound alternatives to the use of wood and other materials.

Tyvek® Is Not Paper!

Tyvek® has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than paper and other envelope materials. It's not only significantly lighter than paper, it's stronger. Which can be pretty important when you're sending something heavy or bulky. And when paper gets wet it absorbs moisture and falls apart. Amazingly, Tyvek® doesn't. Paper can also be torn, frayed, punctured and destroyed easily. Tyvek® resists all these dangers. And printing on Tyvek® creates brilliant results. So when you actually stop and think about it, when you need protection, why would you choose anything but Tyvek® Envelopes?
